Kids' Kartz at Alexandra Park Raceway 2008
The new season of Kids Kartz is underway and Gleneagles Benny and Gleneagles Bubbles, trained by Cheryl Goodwin of Pukekohe, attended last Friday night.
Onlookers have trouble telling Benny and Bubbles apart so it was delightful that the ponies were driven by twin sisters, Emma (blue colours driving Benny— No. 2) and Faye Carey (black and silver colours driving Bubbles — No. 5).
Benny is an old hand at racing but it was Bubbles first outing at a real race track. It was a fantastic result for Cheryl when Bubbles and Faye, racing from a 40 metre handicap, came in second in a field of 14. Benny was ably driven by Emma but enjoys the glory of just being out there in front of the crowd and "races" at his own speed.

Gleneagles Benny (Narrandera Peringo/Narrandera Penny) had his first race at Kids' Carts at Alexandra Park Racewayin November 2007. He did really well. He is trained by Cheryl Goodwin of Pukekohe and was driven by Zac (10 years old).
