Photos from AGM 2006 - Day One

If you could not make it this year don't miss out for the next as they seem to get better every year.

Shelyron First up was a delicious morning tea at Lydia and Aaron's property and we all enjoyed the tricks Lydia has taught Shelyron Red Warrior.

Photo below is of Lydia beginning to lead us around her ponies.

Catherine looks on and listens to Lydia as she explains the breeding of her mare Rockisle Gypsy Gem, by the Brown's stallion Cotswold Royal Ensign. With her is the young stallion Cotswold Musketeer and Cotswold Thornberry, the winner of the NZ Shetland of the Year award.

Kim and Mark of Rockisle Shetland Stud were unable to be present for the tour which was ably conducted by Olive and Chelsea Brown.

Their children, who learnt to rclasse on Shetland's have continued their interest in rclassing, moved up to bigger ponies and were attending another event.

With recent rains and damp conditions everywhere, ponies had responded by growing wonderful winter coats though some had decclassed mud was also good insulation.

Stoney Croft and Jim and Paula Hodges provclassed a welcome hot lunch & after viewing the stallion Choisyia Fairfax we spent time with Stoney Croft Ebony Rose. No, the girls are not looking for lice, they are inspecting the white hairs present in her coat and discussing colour. Lesley shares her coffee with Stoney Croft Abbey Rose.
